Day 4 - First Day In Myeong Dong, Seoul

Octie-Appetie guys,

Hong Kong International Airport

We did the flight check-in from the Airport link Kowloon station so we don't have to carry our luggage around. How good was that!!! Even I got bit of problem with the lady from check-in counter, she just tried to pick on me, so b****y. Not a big deal....

Pork Katsu Curry Rice HK$86 (AU$11)
Crispy pork ternderloin with mild Japanese curry

Deep Fried Breaded Pork Tenderloin Sandwich HK$ 36 (AU$4.60)

If I could find this sandwich in OZ, I would have it for my lunch everyday...

Asiana (Korean Airline) western meal: Chicken with Steamed Vegetables

As I noticed, most of Korean go for Korean meal, they really proud of their own cuisine and products.

Asiana Korean-style meal: Bibimbap, before and after mixing the sauce

Airport Bus to go to Myeong-Dong

After we arrived the Incheon airport (Seoul), we jump on a bus going to Myeong Dong (KRW 10,000 about AU$9.10, exact money only). Drop the money in the money-box next to the driver. As its our first time here and we totally don't speak Korean, we started to worry where should we get off that would be the closest to Ibis hotel. Luckly, the Korean people really friendly even they don't speak english at all, they try their best to explained to us.

IBIS Hotel - MyeongDong, Seoul
59-5 Myeong-dong 1Ga Jung-gu
100021 - SEOUL
KOREA, REPUBLIC OF
Tel. : (+82)2/63618888
Fax. : (+82)2/63618050
By subway, about 100 metres from exit 6 Euljiro 1(il) ga (Line No.2 Green) Station

I definitely would recommend this hotel to everyone who go to Seoul. The hotel is well located in the heart of Myeong Dong just two minutes away from the closest subway station (euljiro1 (il) - ga station) with plenty of restaurants and department stores around and the busy market just right behind the hotel. What is better, If you catch the bus from International Airport, they will stop exactly in front of the hotel. The service was friendly and helpfull, especially they speak fluent english.

We got the room facing Seoul Tower

Yeah.. so excited with this new toy!!

Spicy Cold Noodle

We spent KRW 24,000 (about AU$21.80) for those 3 dishes. We didn't realise how big the portion was at the beginning and so tempted by looking at the menu and at the end we couldn't finished it.
