Central Cafe and Lenu Noodle Bar - Resort World Sentosa

Previously:

We've been dying to try this noodle shop.  Their menus and pictures of food look really appetising.  We had them for lunch but take away, to be enjoyed in our hotel room while kids're sleeping.

We got three serves of noodle: braised beef combination noodle, crispy chicken cutlet noodle and pork wonton in chilli vinaigrette dry noodle.  When we opened the container lid, the smell was just escaping and went straight to our nostril.  Smells incredibly mouth-watering.

The braised beef noodle and fried chicken were delicious.  However, that spicy and sour pork wonton noodle was dissaponting.  And unfortunately, it was mine.  At first I was expecting something like Din Tai Fung's chilli vinaigrette wonton but it was nothing near it.  The spiciness and sourness are very light, when combined into noodle, there wasn't enough sauce and left the noodle to dull and flavorless.  On the other hand, that chilli oil is surely my saviour.

On our last breakfast in Sentosa, we had Hongkong food at Central cafe, which is also located in the ground floor, next to that noodle bar from earlier.  For me, the food we tried on that morning were below standard compared to any food we had in this Resort World Sentosa.

Their coffee was too bitter also beef noodle that we had from Lenu was much better.  Mainly, that fried chicken rice was terrible.  The chicken was coated on a very thick batter, made it very hard and dry.  So, yeah..... Fortunately, we had our little dessert afterward, McFlurry ovaltine from McDonald and it made my day.  Thank you all for following my Singapore trip til the end.  I'll see you all soon to wherever the wind takes me.  Octie Appetie....

Toast Box - Resort World Sentosa

Previously:

Most restaurants haven't opened until 10 or 11 am, except this Toast Box.  This place is located on the ground floor in the food section.  The shop shares the same area with Bread Talk, I guess they probably have a same owner.  Here in Toast Box, they serve an authentic Singaporian kopitiam style food, such as kaya toast, chicken curry, laksa and kopi (coffee) drinks.

By the time we arrived, there were a few queues standing on the line.  We ordered the food in the counter then again self-serve.  The lady that taking the order, she is also preparing drinks and small snacks at the same time.  Watching her handling things around, looks very pro and very efficient.

We tried both sets: two from toast set and another one is from Asian delight set.  In toast set, it comes with hot coffee/tea as well as two serves of soft boiled eggs, while Asian delight set, it has cold drink and a piece of cake.

Luncheon meat and egg sandwich set S$10.30

Traditional kaya toast set S$7.60

A toast with kaya jam and a slab of butter, nothing can go wrong with this, can't it?

Bo Luo You S$2.90

I didn't get to try this.  I was busy eating my food and when I look up again, this bun was vanished.  But mu husband confirmed that it was yummy.

Drumstick braised pork rice set S$15.80

This dish was also good too.  It was somehow taste like Taiwanese lu rou fan with Southeast Asian style fried chicken.  Not forget to mention about kaya cake, that cake was very soft and velvety also delightful.

Duckland - Resort World Sentosa

Previously:

Just letting y'all know that nowadays most of shops and restaurants in Singapore, using QR code in viewing and ordering menu.  Anyway, for our dinner tonight, we landed at Duckland restaurant.  This place serves Chinese and Irish dishes.  What an interesting combination!!  We got half portion of roasted duck, ribs and some appetisers as well.

Half roast Irish duck S$40.50

This duck is named roast Irish duck, however, taste and texture are pretty much the same with Cantonese roasted duck.  The meat is tender and juicy with a good amount of oil under the skin.  It served with three dipping sauces: raspberry sauce, calamansi chili and yellow mustard.  I still prefer mine to go with just the classic mustard.

Charcoal-grilled babyback ribs S$30.70

The ribs is cooked to perfection.  It was very meaty yet very tender and fall-off-the-bone.  The meat is covered with some sort of BBQ sauce.  It was delicious and it came with fries that had been deep fried in duck fat.

Plain noodle soup

I ordered this plain noodle soup to go with a roasted duck.  The noodle itself is springey and soaked in the hot duck bone broth.  Then topped with some spring onions and sesame seeds.  To be honest, this noodle soup on its own is already delicious.  To enjoy it with some roasted duck, it was even better.

Duckland sling S$4.50

Steamed duck rice

Calamari rings served with homemade tartar sauce S$10.60

It was definitely a satisfying and filling meal we had tonight.  See you all soon for more yummy meals in Sentosa.

Malaysian Food Street - Resort World Sentosa

Previously:

This food court is not so far from USS entrance.  And on lunch time, this place is very very packed with hungry people.  However, the food was served really fast and we also got the drinks in an instant.  Unlike normal food court, here we need to place our order and pay at the cashier.  Then you will get a vibrating pager and when it buzzes, you just go to the stall that served your order.

If you not fuss with meal time, my suggestion is to avoid the lunch or dinner peak hours.  Honestly, you will have a total different experience here.  At first, we've been there around 1pm and it was so hard to get a seat also the queue was very long.  Although, they were very efficient and food came fast too.  But, when we came back second round at 5pm, there wasn't much people and it was peaceful.  I can appreciate their colonial and classic touch while munching on my food with no hurry.

Lunch peak hour

Pudu claypot chicken rice

Chicken satay

Nasi lemak

Es bandung

Char kway teow

Wonton soup

Es limau

The food were pretty good.  I was so looking forward for the claypot but it was a let down.  It didn't taste as good as its look.  They weren't much meat either, mainly bones and flavour-wise, it was quite bland with a little taste of sweet soy sauce.  However, their char kway teow and nasi lemak were delicious.  And the winner, definitely hands down to...... Es limau.  It was sour and sweet at the same time.  Soooooo refreshing.  It also makes a nice pair to any food.  And in this kinda hot weather, this was the best drink ever.

Universal Studio and SEA Aquarium Singapore

Previously:

Here in USS and S.E.A Aquarium are the places where you can free your inner child.  Play, ride and meet with your favourite cartoon characters from Universal Pictures Inc.  We got our pass bundle from klook website.  It has a really good value.  They gave a free popcorn and other vouchers as well.

I recently just found out that we can actually re-enter the park.  You just need to get an oil-stamp before leaving the gate.  Then you are able to enter again later on that day.

As usual, the rides are packed with people.  You are able to buy an express pass from the counter or from Klook.  Feel absolutely wonderful when you can skip all that long queueing.

This drink was surprisingly delicious.  The yellow color is a mango smoothie and I'm not so sure with the blue one thou.  Sweet and refreshing.

Crunchy top choux pastry
This is actually a chocolate banana choux pastry with kinda minion chocolate plank on top.  It was very big and good pastry too.

I don't put much photos for these places, as it nothing compares than seeing and enjoying them yourself.
